Modern Style Retro Posters
Wanna see something cool? Retro-futuristic movie posters. Yeah…that’s cool. Artist Laurent Durieux has done some rather unique pieces of some of my favorite older movies and one relatively new film (‘The Master‘). The first one makes me miss Philip Seymour Hoffman even more. What a wonderful Oscar tribute last night. You can see all of Durieux’s work here. I’m sure these have been in circulation for a while, but if they have then I missed it. I’m always a little late to the party. Tip from my dear friend Katrina, graphic designer extraordinaire.
Die Hard is wicked. Really like Jaws as well.
Awesome! I love all five! I really respect people who make fan-art… and these here really are of the highest standard!
The 'Die Hard' poster is super creative. I think I like that poster better than the movie. Jaws is great too. I like the fact that the shark is not in it.
Very high standard. She's great. Thanks. You should see the other ones. I only picked my favorite, but there were plenty more.
Oh these are awesome! love Jaws one.
The Birds one is my favorite. Chilling as Hitchcock's is.
Yes, I think the Jaws one is probably my favorite! It's focused on the people, not the shark.
They're all so good. She also did one for 'Psycho' which is great too!
those are wonderful… i want to do ones just like those, with different films of course.
I do too. I would love a couple of these for some of my favorite films!
Such amazing posters! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Katy! I love these. I wish I could hang these in my house.
This is such a amazing posters. Vintage posters are beautiful to look at, but being able to create them is something special. Thank you for your kind words!
Hi Art– Thanks for your comment. These are amazing posters. I love film art. I think it's one of the least appreciated forms of artwork.
